Jack-O-Lantern

The Pumpkin! Which was also Taylor's birthday surprise, because I knew he wanted a pumpkin!

We Killed it! These are it's guts!

Haunted House

Yup, my husband is apparently amazing at carving pumpkins! I was extremely impressed, really how good is this?! Also all he had was our kitchen knives, non of this carving kit stuff! Pure skill!
Sorry, I just really love my husband!

Wool Wreath

I found the tutorial for these wreaths here, and I absolutely love it! I will be making another one once I muster up the courage and time again, but I am going to try something different that I thought up myself! This was a long craft and my finger hurt after wrapping all this wool around my wreath but it was worth it! I just love it :)

A mess of wool on my lab, then it was finally done!

I wanted to hang it up with a peice of lace to try it out on my door, but patience has never been very good with me! (Mom and Taylor I know your nodding at that!)

Sew in Love

We have a new member joining our blog! So amazing, and never thought I would get something so nice so soon. But we now have a new friend taking over our kitchen table! My husband has been so good about it to he spent hours with me shopping, (playing pool on the other side of the store) and hasn't complained about the mess that comes with it!

Meet BOBBER my sewing machine!

Janome. Digital. Smooth. Easy. Love. It!

My Mother graduated with a textiles degree and has taught me a good amount about sewing growing up. Now that I am married I have found this deep crafty desire, which soon involved sewing. Now I have my new friend Bobber. We have had a lot of fun together, many posts to come! :)

Two Brides, Two Weddings, Two Sisters

My Sister and I shared our wedding reception together! We got married a week apart and then had our reception in between the two wedding dates. I do not have my pictures yet, but these are a couple I stole offline from her! We had our reception in a giant white tent, I was on one side and her on the other, at the end of the night we joined up and took some silly cute pictures.

Its fun to think we shared this, what sisters can say that!

The Bling!

Tay's Birthday

My Husband is one year older!! Yay! This means, lots of fun!

Taylor and I empty our change ever couple of day into our change jar, so we dumped it all out and picked out all the quarters!

Here we are with our baggie of quarter and about to go to the arcade! This was his request for the activity for this birthday, so cute! I had never been to one so I was ready for a nerdy lame arcade night... little did I know I would have a blast!

I found the dance dance machine! I was SO happy! Taylor was not to thrilled about it, but after a couple rounds we were both sweating and our feet hurt and we didn't want to stop. We blew half our budget here!

Then racing! This was not as fun, but still way cool, the bikes moved! Ah it was so fun seeing him loving it and me having a blast and feeling like I was living an adventure I should have had when I was five!

Nasty picture but Taylor says he likes it so since it's his birthday so here it is! Shooting games!

Then for his birthday present, I bought us football tickets! I had never been to a game and he was dying to go, the morning of it looked pretty cold. Little did we know it was going to rain cats and dogs! We were drenched, cold and wet wet wet! But Taylor was yelling and jumping and I couldn't help but enjoy it. I was miserably wet but how can you not love it when your husband has a perma smile on! I love birthdays!

Fabric Necklaces

My life has been busy busy busy! I have been busy making some of these as well, I have a lot of things I need to post about, but no camera cord so I have to wait!

Anyway I hand stitched this necklace it took me forever! But if you have a sewing machine, you can whip this up in less than 30 minutes.

You'll Need:
Sewing Needle/thread
6 inchs wide fabric (then cut into 3 inch strips)
Wooden beads/glass beads
Time!

If your hand sewing this just use a simple weave little stitch such as above. Sorry I don't know the name of the stitch!

Tie a not in the middle drop a bead in one side, tie another knot, then drop a bead it and continue!

I love this necklace, it has so many different colours in it which means it matches with almost everything, the fabric makes it light weight and also very unique! I'v had a good amount of people ask me where I bought it!

This necklace was featered as #1 on Vintage Pollyanna

Old Hudson Jeans, New Accessories

Do you have some old jeans laying around, or maybe some jean scrap? This is the perfect craft for just that!

I had a pair of Hudson jeans that were much too long for me. So I had them hemmed and kept the extra jean and made the fallowing!

I made this jean flower and put it on a head band! It is my new favourite headband, it goes with everything and is just so cute! I love it!

I also made these earrings to match. As you can see the jean ones in the top left. Then I made a couple of  earrings with some fabric I had around.

All I did was get a button kit from Joannes, and then hot glue earring posts onto the back! So cute, cheap, and fun!

Key Holder

       You will need:
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Wooden key holder
  • Paint and paint brush
  • Mod Podge
  • Paper cutter

I went to Michael's and picked up some Amy Butler scrap book paper. Then I hopped over to porters and picked up this wooden key holder for $4. Then I painted it white.

I sliced my paper with a little paper cutter, I did mine 1.5 inches for my particular key hanger.

Then I put Mod Podge on all the wood, then I laid down the paper patting it flat making sure its all smooth. I let this dry for about five minutes and then put another layer of Mod Podge down. Let this dry and your done!

This was so easy, and pretty cute if you ask me! Its little and simple but we always know where our keys are now!

Happy Crafting :)

I eat my feelings

I had a bad day. Yes, I know its only 2:50 but I have already had a bad day. I cried between a lot of phone calls at work today, exhausted, emotional, but why do I keep crying?
My mom, I miss my mom. She laughs at all my jokes and she thinks I'm pretty great when really she's the great one. She did make me! So I called her and cried. Then I came home to my cute husband and cried, he then attacked me and tickled me till I said I was happy. But I still needed something...

Chocolate.

Chocolate Almond.

Chocolate Almond Mouse..

Thaw Cool Whip for 15 min

Melt a Almond Hersey chocolate bar.

Let the Hersey bar cool down for about 10 min, add into cold cool whip and stir. This will make the chocolate harden while stirring creating little pieces of chocolate throughout.

If your day was really bad, melt some extra chocolate chips... I went a little over board!!

Repeat and stir if you chose to do extra chocolate. Then put it in the freeze for one hour and dish up this rich sweet treat. You will only want to eat a little so it goes a long way, it's so easy and so yummy!
