Glamourous

Have you been wanting that glamourous chunky necklace like I have but either they are out of your price rang, or plastic! Fear not I will show you how to make one that is neither!

You will Need:
Jewels, beads, crystals whatever works best for you, it should dangle though, like the beads I have shown below. It is on a loop so that the loop attaches the bead to the necklace instead of it going through the bead it self if that makes sense. I got mine at Porters
Thicker jewellery wire
Ribbon
It only cost me $20, because I didn't have any of the materials

Take your wire and wrap it around a pen, then wrap it to close it like shown below.

Thread the beads on the wire, I had two different colours of beads so I did four of each colour in a row.
When your beads are gone, or your at the length you wan it repeat the step above.

Tie your ribbon to the loop, then die two pretty knots like shown above to cover the ugly wire! Repeat on the next side. Then you should have something that looks like this!

Also I had regular crystals on the chains I bought so I used the extra to make a matching bracelet.

Its a great necklace to wear with collared shirts, and with the ribbon closure you can make it shorter.

Necklace/Headband Holder

Okay so this is the post I promised all of you a couple days ago. I can't believe it has taken me this long to post a craft, all the ones I have been making lately are for christmas there for unbloggable!

Well if you are all like me I have accessory issues, where do I put all of them! Head bands are a hard to store thing when they have flowers on them, and then with my new necklace venture I have so many necklaces and no place to store them. So I discovered these!

All you need is:
- Empty Ribbon roll
- paint/or ribbon
- mod podge
- cute paper

1. If you have a brown ribbon roll like this one you want to paint it white. If you have a one one you can leave it, or like shown later I glued some ribbon inside to give it a little more depth and detail.

2. After it is painted cut out a circle. Put a layer of mod podge lay your paper down and press flat. Wait ten minute and put another layer of mod podge down, let dry and your done!

I know its so easy its silly right?

Here are my three I made, I put them up on the wall in our bathroom and hung my necklaces up on it. They also work great for head bands!

If you look past the necklace you can see brown, this is ribbon that I'v put in the inside

On this one it actually has white ribbon inside to add a little something :)
Personally I love these, I have them up in my bathroom and they are the perfect thing to hold my necklaces and headbands. And everything is from stuff around the house, yay cheap and useful!

Fabulous Fabric Necklaces

I just love these fabric necklaces! I have made them with buttons, fabric all around, and ribbon. They just have such a soft look, and this way you can make them any colour you could ever want! Small patterns I have found work the best :)

All you need is:
Fabric
Needle & Thread or Sewing Machine
Foam, wooden, or glass balls

And there they all are sitting on my lap ready to be sold!

Fabric Necklaces

My life has been busy busy busy! I have been busy making some of these as well, I have a lot of things I need to post about, but no camera cord so I have to wait!

Anyway I hand stitched this necklace it took me forever! But if you have a sewing machine, you can whip this up in less than 30 minutes.

You'll Need:
Sewing Needle/thread
6 inchs wide fabric (then cut into 3 inch strips)
Wooden beads/glass beads
Time!

If your hand sewing this just use a simple weave little stitch such as above. Sorry I don't know the name of the stitch!

Tie a not in the middle drop a bead in one side, tie another knot, then drop a bead it and continue!

I love this necklace, it has so many different colours in it which means it matches with almost everything, the fabric makes it light weight and also very unique! I'v had a good amount of people ask me where I bought it!

This necklace was featered as #1 on Vintage Pollyanna
