I work tuesday, wednesday, friday and Taylor works monday, thursday, and saturday. As you can see this is a very conflicting schedule. Taylor is alone half the week and then I am home alone half the week. So we both needed to pick up a hobby he bought a new game and I started making tooo much food. After a very bad large bubbling burn on my arm and a broken glass bowl I decided I needed to do something a little less fattening and exhausting. So Taylor took me to walmart, picked me out a glue gun and helped me choose my fabrics...

And I made this.

I forgot to buy buttons, and as you can see it was my first try, but it was really fun and I have already found ways to make them better. I am looking forward to making more, and making them better. I also plan on adding some of these to my old t-shirts to make my old clothes new!

I was very proud to show Taylor when he got home from work, so he insisted he take my picture with the cupcakes. As most of you saw I made cupcakes just a couple days ago, Taylor ate one and well... he doesn't like cupcakes that much I learned. After we ate our dinner, which was homemade and delicious! I past Taylor a cupcake and watched him intently. He took his first bite, his eyes went big and he said "Wow, good job babe!" finished it off and reached for another. Taylor doesn't take seconds for desert, or a lot of desert at all he would rather snacks! So him taking two made my day. Then I took my first bite, and Wow! Don't mean to brag, it was mostly the cupcake recipe not me, but they are soooo yummy. I have never tasted such a great cupcake in my life!

Cupcake Goal

Pre Note: Taylor and I love raspberry limeades from Sonic, but the one in Rexburg has closed.
I, Martha, am passionately in love with Peanut Butter. On chicken, on apples, on cookies, on anything!
Also my nineteenth birthday is on Monday! So I have been thinking of what treat I should make to celebrate, since we don't have enough people for cake, I have decided a cupcake will be just the perfect treat. But I cannot just make any cupcake, it has to be mouth watering. The kind of taste that leaves you asking, how? or More Please!!
So I have found the perfect recipes, but I need to make both because I cannot decide. Which leads me to think with all these cupcakes around maybe we should have a party.
So the cupcakes I am going to attempt are...
Chocolate cupcake with a fluffy peanut butter (click here) icing.
and the one I am looking forward to the most is.
Raspberry Lime Cloud (click here)
It is a white cupcake with the middle taken out filled with raspberry lime curd, with a raspberry lime fluffy cloud icing! It looks hard to make and absolutely wonderful!

L-O-V-E

I woke up this morning to go to work, sad that I was awake at 8:30 in the morning I started getting ready. When I got out of the shower my cute husband had made me scrambled eggs, a bagel with cream cheese, and some juice. It was a great surprise! Its been over a year and he never stop treating me like his sweet heart. Marriage is so wonderful, and I love my husband!
Then on top of that, when I got home from work he had cleaned, and washed our laundry! How much better can it get?

Swapped

Taylor is amazing!! I just love him to death. We bought some reeces the other day and I ate all of mine, and Taylor still had some left. I am passionatly obseesed with peanut butter treats, especially reeses. Taylor told me I could not have any of his, which was understandable, I did eat all mine. But then he came into the family room with two bowls of icecream both with resses mixed in. He made us homemade cold stone, and split his reeses with me. Now that is true love!! This is just as example of all the cute things he does for me.
The past two weeks I have been going to work, and Taylor has been at home. He has been cleaning, making me lunch, starting dinner, putting together the house, hanging pictures, fixing the car, doing laundry, taking out the trash, writing thank you cards and just being down right amazingly helpful. While I am at work I know that everything at home is getting done, its so wonderful :)

For My Dear Mother

Well My Mother is missing me a lot right now! And she told me she wanted to know about all the little funny things in our life so here are a couple things for you mom!
As some of you might know I am a little paranoid when it comes to the dark, so late at night I start to get a little jumpy.
Last week after a day of shopping, unpacking and organizing I went to bed while Taylor stayed up and played with all his new electronics. I fell asleep right away and Taylor came in to say goodnight. I heard someone in the room and quickly turned my head with a gasp, it was only the pillow, so I rolled over to fall back asleep and my heart jumped out of my chest when I noticed someone standing over me. It was my husband!
Three nights ago Taylor and I were laying in bed holding hands and talking. I then fell asleep in the middle of our conversation so Taylor gave my hand a little love sqeeze to see if I was still there and I shot out of bed gasping, freaked out at who had just touched my hand while sleeping. It was my husband again!
Last night I was brushing my hair and getting ready for bed, out of the corner of my eye I saw a man in the door way. My instant reaction was to throw an elbow to the face, in the middle of this I realized it was once again my husband! We then bust out laughing!
We are loving married life! Taylor and I cannot stop laughing its been so fun being together all day and all night with no more good byes. So far the thing I have to adjust to is remembering that the man in our apartment at night is indeed my husband!

Dunanda Falls

It has always been on Taylor's bucket list to kiss under a water fall, and I have always wanted to go to natural hot springs. So we started a hike towards Dunanda Falls, a water fall surrounded with hot springs in Yellow Stone, Idaho. Little did I realize when I signed up for this hike, it was 4 hours there, and 4 hours back!
Starting off the hike with the beautiful view, we still had smiles on ours faces and a skip in our step!
Four hours later we arrived at the water falls. Every muscle in our bodies were screaming in pain and Taylor and I were getting a little whiny at the thought of going back!
Right after our kiss under the water falls!

Soaking in the natural hot springs while being sprayed by the water falls. We then had to hike back. We left our home at 8am and got back at 9:30 pm. Longest day of our lives and we will probably not want to go hiking for a very very long time!!

Mr. & Mrs. Phillips

September 4th, 2010 - Married in the Logan Temple

This day already seems like it was months ago. When in reality we have only been married for four days! It has gone by really fast, we have gotten so much done in these four days its insane. We have set up our whole apartment and I have started a new job.

Being married to Taylor has been awesome. It's so nice to finally be together and not even have to say goodnight at curfew. No more long distance, and no more goodbyes. We get to go to bed together and wake up together - such a huge difference between states away from each other for almost five months.

Well, here is a little sneak peak of the wedding day. Some snap shots a friend took to capture the moments. We will have more when we get our wedding shoot with Esther, and our wedding photos from Allison. I can't wait to see both of them! Ah! Pictures are probably one of the funnest parts about getting married.

"Taylor! We Just Got Married!!"
